PLN of choice

A women in South Korea failed her driving test 771 times, and shes been trying every single day since 2005 and has yet to try it the 772nd time. The reason I picked this topic, is because I recently got my permit, and I passed the test my first time trying it, and got 100%. I really don’t see how a driving test could be that hard. Seriously if she has failed that many times, shes obviously not going to be a very good driver. I’m just glad that I don’t live anywhere near her, because if one day she passed by maybe one point, and got her license, she would probably be a wreckless driver, and might eventually cause fatal accident, and end up killing people. This relates to me because it makes you think about people that are driving next to you when you’re on the road that might have passed the test by maybe one point, that’s just kind of scary.

Response to the video "Lost Generation"

This video really reflects on how some people live life, and it's kind of scary to think about it. I thought that this video really talked about, not only how people can live such a dreadful sort of life, but I think that it also was trying to get out there that, you can help these people. We can help these people to get back on their feet and living a life that means something. It's literally all about changing to world, whether that means that we go out and pick up trash, or make a difference in someone's life. If you get someone up and out of depression or something, and maybe they will go along, and deliver that service to other people, and then everyone benefits from it, and your goal for Changing the World is now accomplished. To me this video could potentially change the way I live, as a class, or even just a person, if I decided to go out and actually think about doing something to help a group of people, I not only feel good about it, but then those people might pass on the generosity, and my goal of Changing the World is then accomplished.

3 things

For my first item, I chose my ipod. It is black, I know this may blow your mind, but it looks like an Ipod. Music is very important to me, and it makes me look at some things from different perspectives, and in sometimes changes my moods and stuff, because it has such a big impact on my life.

Second I chose my dirt bike. It is just a starter bike for now, my dream is to become a professional motocross rider and to be sponsored by Monster Energy, and Kawasaki motorcycles, but anyways I have two bikes, one is a Yamaha 100, and the other is a Honda 250 dual sport, which basically means that it’s certified for the road and for the street. I love riding the 250 around the roads, it makes me feel really indepentdant, and sometimes can be very relaxing. But it will always be something that I love to do.

Third I picked bed. Sleep is a priority in my life, I don’t know who doesn’t classify sleep as a priority, but I treasure it. Sleep is very important in my life, and if I don’t get sleep, obviously I don’t perform very well around other people, and it makes my life miserable, I’m looking forward to a good second semester with you (Mr. Ruggles) and I hope you are up to teaching a rather crazy class of kids.

PLN 16

I did my PLN 16 on the Gov. Rod Blagojevich, he was asked to step down and the High Court relieved him of his powers. He was accused of selling Barak Obama’s chair in the Senate, and he got busted for it. This matters to me because it’s not right to be selling that kind of stuff for a profit, and that just irritates me because to hear about the people leading our country, doing something that stupid kind of makes me feel unsafe, because what if something threatening comes up in the country, and someone makes a stupid decision, and it effects everyone in the nation.

PLN 15: Ice Storm

For my PLN 15 I read an article about the ice storm that hit New Hampshire. It knocked out power for 1.25 million people, from Maine to Pennsylvania, it closed schools, and damaged property everywhere. This could matter to my life, living in Colorado, my mom always told me that anything can happen in Colorado, so I could potentially be in danger if this storm ever came to Colorado. It just makes me wonder what I would do with me cars, and windows and stuff.

PLN 14: Dog Freezes to sidewalk

In the article I read off of AOL, I read about another cruel person that left his dog outside in single digit temperatures, and it froze to the sidewalk. Luckily the dog was “morbidly obese” says the Sheboygan County Humane Society, or it would have frozen to death. The 59 year old owner was arrested for suspision of animal neglect, the owner said that she tried to get the dog inside but couldn’t and she kept checking every few hours. To me that sounds rediculous and total “B.S” but she was let off according to the article with only getting arrested, personally I think she should have been charged. This could relate to my life because, this article tells me how I might see some weird stuff in life, and that I need to keep my eyes open for stuff like that, because some people are just too cruel to do easy things, how hard is it to let the dog in? It’s really not that hard at all, and even if it is hard, she should have gone to get the dog anyways.
